Knowing that men are fathers, husbands and also leaders in the community, there are many activities throughout the year, some on-going and some seasonal. These activities help to build man-to-man relationships, father-child relationships and provide lots of opportunity to outreach to friends and co-workers.
Mark your calendars for the following dates for our Men’s Breakfast where men gather to hear some great teaching from seasoned men of God drawn from the USA and Canada and some from our own congregation. We enjoy great fellowship plus consume a mountain of food, including Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, farmers sausage, and wash it down with more than a few gallons of juice and hot coffee. Tickets Are $4 each and available at the door. Invite a friend to join you.
If you like to fish, join our fishermen’s fellowship and stay in touch with all the guys fishing local and interior lakes throughout the year. Gather with other guys as they fish their special spots and try new waters. Call Willy Kooyman.
Planned for May 14,15 & 16 this trip takes about 30 men to the heart of the BC interior's high country lakes. This year we will head to Roche Lake Resort and will fish Roche and surrounding lakes as well- which have a reputation for giving up some big fish. We leave 6:00 AM Friday morning to get almost 3 days of fishing in and some guys come a little later as well.
The resort has all of the facilities including a hot tub and pool and restaurant. This trip is geared to both novice and experienced fisherman. We fish in boats and belly boats and we car pool up to the lodge, so there is plenty of fun times together. Cost is nominal- $115 for all the lodging. The only other cost is bringing your food and sharing gas costs in your car pool. This is one of the “most looked forward to” events for our men.
Meeting on Wednesday nights @ 7:00 PM this group focuses on Bible study and fellowship. More details coming soon.
